Welcome to The Bull!

The Bull was built around the year 1385 and is set in the picturesque village of Blackmore and is a fine example of medieval building with a wealth of exposed beams throughout and other curiosities including a priest hole and escape tunnel from the time of the Reformation. Haunted by at least three ghosts- seen by staff and customers alike for many years- the Bull is packed tight with atmosphere and an atmosphere of days gone by.
The village itself is crowded with buildings which have stood the test of time for many hundreds of years, the oldest apart from the church being Hope Cottage built in the early 1340's.

It's the perfect venue when taking a drive out in the countryside. Arrive early and take a stroll around this beautifully preserved village to sharpen up your appetite. The Bull is renowned for their homemade meals, and whether it's for lunch or dinner, you won't be disappointed.

There's a large lounge bar, a cosy village bar and a non-smoking dining room called "The Old Bicycle Shop" which can be hired for private functions.
The pubs delightful garden sweeps down across the main village green to the pond with its pretty island and weeping willows. For children, there are a number of activity items to keep them amused.
